I read somewhere that doing it 12 hours early around the world will cut the PPV buys by about half, i dont remember which article it was tho.

That's why I said I would be pissed if I bought tix to this fight. 8AM start just so the US can boost the buys is crap.

I think I know what you're talking about... but I think they were saying they were going to lose some buys because it was in a different country. They're going to accommodate to U.S times because that's where all the money will be coming from.
I don't think they're too worried about live gate because Shiming loaded the place and there are rich people down there

I know but the chances of people finding out the results of the fight in the 12 hour gap is very possible, and there would be no way i'd order a fight if i already knew the outcome. I expect the PPVs to be dramatically down at around Chavez-Sergio levels

I thought it was at 9AM(I say 8AM early arrival) on sunday Macau time so US can get PPV regular time.

yup..that's what they did when PAC fought Larios...the main event started at like 11am on a Sunday so the US audience can watch Saturday night

I don't see it doing great. The matchup itself doesn't even excite many boxing fans. I think it will do alright but Manny is pulling majority of the weight and coming off a loss, Rios doesn't bring much to the ppv. I think it does about 750,000. Still a solid number.

I'm not even really sure if I will order it. I will be getting JMM/Bradley for sure though.
