Khan is a big enough name with not a high risk to fill another fighter slot of Floyd's contract. They have to justify a named fighter since more than likely the fight will be on PPV
Apart from Alvarez and Pac - there are no names that generate interest and money as much as Khan.

Khan would sell at least 700,000 PPV's in the UK, and Mayweather wouldn't do any worse than he did against Guerrero. So you're looking at 1.5m PPV purchases minimum with the potential to do 2m.

It's a big money fight and Mayweather hasn't fought anybody with the jab, reach, size, and speed of Amir Khan. It's an exciting matchup. Matthysse and Garcia are better fighters than Khan overall, but styles make fights, and Mayweather would deal with their styles just fine.

Khan had all those advantages against Prescott, Peterson,Garcia and you can throw in Diaz and look at the results..Now you're talking about having him face an opponent who is faster, a FAR superior boxer to him and anyone he's ever faced, that's preposterous!!! People use Judah as a point of reference, Floyd starts slow every fight and yes the rounds were somewhat competitive but to use what he as some kind recipe for success against Floyd is non sense

The problem with Boxing today - people like you think money in Boxing is the beginning and end all - if you are a true boxing fan, Boxing should always be the winner because when fighters careers are over they are gone, boxing will still be there - Khan does'nt generate money because he is as good as you make him out to be, its because of the Sky and British tv money- in America he won't generate alot of monery so he is getting opportunities at the Mayweathers and co without earning it - Golden Boy will keep getting him soft touches until he gets him Mayweather for a big money spinner, they will keep him away from Garcia and Matthyse because one more loss they won't be able to sell this to the American public - only dumbwits like you keep fighting his corner. - Boxing should be the best face the best and they have earned the right - you tell me since the Garcia fight Khan has earned the right - I think not.

Like I said before the fight will sell well but Khan's last two performances has been less than stellar. He should had blown away the lightweight and Diaz fought him to the brink

Fighting A Mere Con would be a lose/lose for Floyd and definitely open him up to criticism. Floyd would be better off fighting Kell Brook if he wants a fight in the UK. Brook is undefeated and a true welter-wt even though he's untested still a much better fight than big mouth "Kid Glass Jaw".
