LMAO at Floyd calling the shots! at that specific time both he and Manny were killing it in PPVs and revenue
Yes Floyd was making more at the gate because his tickets are more expensive (i doint know why) and his alleged PPV buys were slightly higher by 100-200k but that was a total duck!
He offered manny 40 mil while Floyd was set to make over 100? and that makes sense to you? how?
LMAO at you beleiving every word that Floyd says fooken amazing your momo-ism.

I think manny turning down teh 40 mil is no dumber than floyd fighting cherry picked opponents and his fans like you making all these excuses as to why he does and why he cant take on a real challenge.
At the time, turning down 40 million flat was smart. At the time, turning down 40 million plus say like 40% of the revenue, dumb.

Now, even more dumb considering what's happened since.

Anyways, neither guy wanted the fight to happen at the same time.

But the difference is that Mayweather just got the mega deal with Showtime/CBS while Pacquiao is still stuck with Bob Arum who is taking most of his money like most Promoters do, that sucks, hopefully Pacquiao will one day see the light and get away from Arum like Cotto did, Pacquiao fanbase is loyal, they will follow him, he don't even need Arum at this point in his career
so if arum takes most of pac's money 40 million isn't even a big payday for pac considering he makes 20-25 million per fight already. arum's going to take a lot of that 40 million making it a normal payday for pac. you expect pac to take a normal payday in the biggest fight in boxing history? how is that stupid?

floyd is the one who ducked and dodged. his offer was just a way to trick the ill informed public that he actually wanted the fight. omg 40 million is a lot floyd must want to fight! nope at 50-50 it was projected he would make 100 million. instead he fought guerrero for 30. money mayweather laughable!

Typical Flowjob. Only looks at the situation from Floyd's perspective. Were you behind the scenes? Do you know what Floyd was probably offering, and doing for real? He was probably trying to dictate every little thing down to the tee, just to piss of Pac's camp.

Clearest duck in recent history. Get your head out of his ass.

Thats what I wonder about. How, for a guy that says he doesnt fight for money, switch his stance on money so often.

That was horrible. What happened to him is what you literally hope doesnt happen to a fighter you like. Knockouts like those are what make you nervous to fight/watch.

He'd have had 40 mil plus some ppv (As far as I know Flpyd never said no PPV but that they need to agree on the guarantee first before even discussing it)... He ended up in stranded in Narnia for less money...obviously it's not an ideal situation lol
uh he said it in public. pac gets 0 percent of the ppv and some people think he wanted the fight. hilarious how delusional they are.

PAC should have snapped his hand off with that offer 40 mill is susbstansially more than PAC has ever made and more than he's likely to make for the rest of his career.

He had poor advisors around him! It's all good saying he deserves a percentage but that 40 was real money not projected potential earnings! Floyd will go on to earn more than that loads more fighting Canelo will pac ever even get half of that?
LMAO! Floyd mind is already fixed and he will never fight Pac. He always ready to conjure something out of thin air once Pac agreed to 40 mil. Please watch the video again when he admitted how he cherry picked his fights and if there is a slight chance his opponent will beat him you can pray to all the gods you know... That is how coward your boy and ESPN told the US citizens how coward he is nationwide. You should aware of that.

You don't think both guys, and Aurm, played a role in it not happening???

Was it not Manny who refused drug testing for 2 years??? Was it not Arum who said Manny had such a bad cut that he couldn't fight in May, only June, but when Floyd was supposedly going to jail May was cool, than he wasn't, and May wasn't cool again??? Was it not Arum who said he only wanted the fight at a super duper mega stadium that couldn't be built in time??? Was it not Floyd who backed off the 50-50 agreement in 2010 and said he doesn't deserve 50-50 in 2012???

All of them played a role, it's not just one man's fault. When the chips were down and everything was on course for March 2010, it wasn't the guy everyone loves to hate who walked away to fight Clottey. But I've always maintained it's the Floyd-Arum relationship as to why Floyd-Manny, Floyd-Cotto, and Floyd-Margarito didn't happen at certain times.

Cotto moves up to 154 and breaks free from Arum, the Floyd fight is made. It's no coincidence the guys he supposedly avoided were all Arum's guys.

Manny's got 4 fights left with Arum, according to Bob himself, one this year, two in 2014, and one in Spring 2015.

Floyd's last fight of the showtime deal will be Fall 2015. I'd bet my account it'll be Pacquiao, if Manny wins these next few fights of his, and Manny was looking damn good aside from 2 punches in his last fight. There's too much money for Floyd and Manny to leave on the table for that fight to never happen.

What is the difference, Arum does the exact same thing to Pacquiao, he gives Pacquiao his Guaranteed Money then Pockets the PPV %, this is what ALL PROMOTERS DO! So basically its sounds to me that some fans just PREFER that Pacquiao gets robbed by Arum lol

Arum has been financially face fucking Manny for years. I'm sure Manny thinks Arum looks after his best interest like a dumbass.

thats a lie. it was a flat, fixed fee. go watch the costas interview where floyd says he "cant afford" to give pac any of the ppv.

the logic of this thread is funny.

pac is dumb gfor turning down $40m but floyd ain't stupid at all for taking in probably $75-100m, dominating pac (which would very likely have happened), and play out the rest of his career without people accusing him of ****ing up one of the biggest fights in boxing history.

face it, floyd tried to screw pac. its like the deal don king used to give to his fighters - more than they ever got paid, but they were still getting screwed heavily.
