Panama has a richer boxing history by far and has produced the greater champions! And it's even worse if you take into account that Panama has a population of around 3million while the population of the Phillipines is something like 100 million

Are you including Puerto Rico as USA because they have a phenomenal P4P record in boxing.

Also, I would say that Argentina surpass Panama & the Philippines (which is not detracting from either country). Germany also have a rich history in the boxing game, as does Italy.

You could also argue that South Africa has a pedigree equal to the two of them. And Japan too. Maybe even Australia if you go back as far as Young Griffo.

I agree that Panama has a deeper & richer boxing history than Philippines but boxing is not (until Pacquiao) a major sport out there (try Basketball & **** Fighting) plus their huge population is spread over 7,000 islands, with many cultures amongst them.

Panama is a relatively small country with the population condensed mainly into a couple of major urban areas with plenty of gyms. It's only natural they'll have produced more top fighters just like circumstances have given Norway & Switzerland more skiing champs than Mexico or Australia.
