Cleverly can't seem to do anything right in a lot of people's eyes. I guess once people dislike you that's it.
He's offering an elite fighter a chance to fight just one division north. They don't have to take the offer, but 7 pounds lighter or not they'll be a big improvement on his opponents so far, so why such a downer on this.
Pascal, Dawson and others are busy, Hopkins seems to want Froch after Murat understandably (bigger name and cash). Shumenov won't come to UK and US network want Cleverly to build on his exposure before making that fight.
So Cleverly isn't swimming with opponents - a Cleverly - Froch/Kessler match up is a intersting and would be an exciting match up.
I don't see it happening though as I think the loser on Sat nt retires.
