You guys want to know why Schaefer called Matthysse the new Pacquiao...? because Pacquiao is the greatest of this generation and Golden Boy knows it. Only reason GB talks great about Mayweather is because they do business with him but if TR and GB were still doing business, they would rather face their fighters with Pacquiao because it's more exciting for fans and would generate more money. I can watch Pacquiao fights over and over again but I've never watched a Mayweather fight again. lol No one remembers records, they only remember the fights you were in. To be the greatest, you have to fight the greatest and Pacquiao has already proved to be one of the greatest of all time.

Pac is more exciting... and blah blah.. why is Mayweather the highest paid athlete then? Obviously somebody is watching and pays to tune in if he is making that much money??

Number speak for themselves... did you miss the Forbes list? $90 million with no endorsements... Pac been knocked out 3 times two of those were to two unknown dudes... And the last one was damn there the knock out of the last 50 years!

Can you name a knock out more brutal than that were a man was laying flat for over a minute?? I am sure you will have to think long and hard about that.

I am glad Pac was ok from that knock out because that is serious and a scary situation to be in, and a warrior like he is he does not need to go out like that. Pac is great true indeed, but the greatest hell no.

Marquez is better than Pac! Pac is in the top 5 of this era but the best no not at all!

All I have to say is, shame on all of you boxing scene writers that steer fans into hyped up opponents challenging Floyd and PAC. It was posted by writers for months, even as early as Guerreros win over Katsidis, that he could be a good opponent for Floyd. Well that idea was put in the boxing community's head as a good fight, and of course we know what happened.

PAC and Floyd are both A level fighters. Lucas is only a B+ fighter at best atm. Sure PAC was KO, but besides that punch, there is no evidence yet that he is damaged goods. All of the boxing scene writers with all of their collective experience should know better than to suggest unequal match ups like these.

Yes, Lucas is good. But he isn't at the A level yet. He needs more fights, needs to work on his boxing skill more, and learn to cut off the ring better.

Boxingscene writers, quit overhyping fights that shouldn't be made yet. You know better than this.

it was a great response from lucas. matthysse is his own man and is making a name for himself in his own way by cleaning out a division and fighting the best fights. shaefer should cut that next manny pacquiao bull****. it feels cheap.

Matthysse is one of those rising Boxing star; But, I don't think his desire to fight Pacman would materialize, cos, Golden Boy & Top Rank aren't that close to allow their cash cow fight each other...

Love how some saying Pacquiao would be scared...he fought his gatest rival 4 damn times, his other rival 3 times as well. And fought 2 men towering over him inDe La Hoya and Margarito.
pacquiao would be game to fight matthyse but the promoters are full of it so wont happen.
