Ouch.
The thing is, networks have no reason to lie about numbers. Does that somehow make them more money ? No. Canelo vs Trout viewership under performed apparently and they didnt inflate the numbers for that so why would they here? Everyone got paid.
Same with movies..if an opening weekend underperforms will they inflate ticket sale numbers?Comment

Funny, you claim not to care about the ppv numbers but you have the most posts in this thread by far. Your misery is palpable. You're bozo the clown at this point. When did this happen? Bob arum has always been a lying scumbag...oh I get it, the old floydiot defense mechanism. Listen, son. I support the sport and want to see the best fights. I dont like promoters, managers, alphabet organisations or their lackeys and I certainly dont give a toss about PPV. A novel concept for a floboner to grasp, but please try.Comment

hopefully Showtime lost money so they can tell Cherrypicker to go to hell if he wants to fight Devon or KhanComment

Same Schaefer who gave numbers in the past based on whatever HBO releases. HBO kicked him out and all of a sudden he's doubting HBO's credibility.
"For ten years, you have not heard about HBO releasing Nielsen ratings and suddenly now every week you get releases with how many viewers they have. What is that? What kind of desperate moves are those? And at least be accurate." -- Richard Schaefer 04/02/2013
I guess whatever numbers HBO released in the past can now be questioned according to this logic. I doubt whether the one million mark is really ever achieved. Showtime is so used to seeing these numbers and they can't believe they're that low.Comment
