Legendary Fights: Aaron Pryor vs Alexis Arguello

Aaron Pryor is probably the most underrated and overlooked fighter of all time. He did whatever he had to do to win and he adapted to everyone that stepped into the ring with him. Pacquiao is one of my favorite fighters because he fights a lot like Pryor(my favorite fighter of all time), not because he's filipino.

It's a good thing Sugar Ray Leonard avoided him for so long because he might have stolen his legend.

Ray Leonard didn't avoid anything. Pryor turned down a career high payday for the Leonard fight.

Leonard fights Hagler, Benitez, Duran, Hearns but he was scared of Pryor? Cmon now.

Pryor was a cheat anyways "Give me the black bottle"

He's one of my own favourites too id i rate him highly but he's not overrated in general, a lot of people feel he's over rated in fact.

Pryor turned down a Leonard fight? I find this hard to believe. Back in the day, I was a serious Pryor fan. Pryor had good power and was always ready for a tough fight but at the same time had good boxing skills.

While I don't think Pryor turned down a Leonard fight, the chances of Pryor actually beating Leonard are very small. Leonard was just as powerfull, had better boxing skills, had a better chin, and had faster hands, not to mention he was the naturally bigger man.

Leonard and Pryor were always in different weight classes, and I don't think he stood any chance against SRL anyways. Too much skill and size.

Still a hell of a fighter though.

I actually didn't believe this either until I saw the video. Pryor says it himself, he was offered 500k (a career high payday for him at the time) and turned it down.

Pryor is a cheater IMO. Panama Lewis repeats it the whole time 'give me the botle i've mixed'

                  .
