Alexander-Purdy fight was fixed

The fight seemed like a fix to me. Why would the corner stop the fight? Alexander was well on his way to punching himself out and how could he not with the way he was throwing. Don't get me wrong, I loved this new side of Devon.

Purdy didn't get horribly hurt at all and Alexander was opening up considerably.
Given Purdy was not really taking advantage of his chances I understand but still had a punchers chance.

LoL Who cares if its not for the belt. Get the W at all costs when given a chance versus the champ.

Purdy is just a limited fighter who was getting beat up. Fair enough no single punch was hurting him but there comes a point when enough is enough. Plus its not like a title was on the line for him after he missed weight.

Yo I agree. I think they pulled the plug because Alexander couldn't put this guy away and if the fight continued it would have done nothing for Alexander's career. This fight would have gone all 12 rounds.

You guys will see soon enough. Doesn't it look all that much better that Floyd will be fighting a guy who not only won his last fight but won his last fight by TKO?

Purdy is limited but he had nothing in the tank anyway.

That said he could have taken Alexander's punches all night long really but he wasn't getting anything off at all and the fight was well beyond him.

Barker's his pal too. He was looking out for him. It's a sport and the fight was the least competitive I have seen so far this year.

Purdy is an entertaining domestic/european level operator. He probably would have done a bit better with a proper training camp but he done alright - he's a very tough man.

They probably had a couple of grand on a certain round stoppage.
