No chance Khan could beat Matthysse, but I disagree with you, Khan would fight Matthysse in a heartbeat. However, it's not a fight Khan should take, nor one his team should work him towards. I'm a huge Khan fan, but I freely admit Matthysse would KO him early, probably in the first round. As his promoter, I'd keep him away from punchers, unless it's a big money fight.

Khan should aim for Alexander, Brook, Bradley, or Mayweather. The likes of Garcia, and certainly Matthysse are too much for him right now, and probably will be indefinitely.

I don't want to watch several months of big fight build-up for the fight to end early. That's almost guaranteed to happen against Matthysse.

But Khan would fight Matthysse if his team wanted him to, no doubt about it.

It's unfortunate you can't take a chin and give it to Khan. With just a decent chin he'd be a different fighter entirely and him vs Matthysse would be a very intriguing fight.

His physical gifts are outstanding, and he can box smart on the front foot, but his chin and defense let him down.

"saying it" and "doing it" are two different things.

Doesn't take courage to say stuff like this. He is just name droping to get publicty, then he will fight another easy opponent like Julio Diaz and get up off the canvas to win. He knows he won't get up against Matthysse.

I pretty much agree with all of this. He should say well clear of mathysse right now. He just doesn't need to go down that route. The only thing I disagree with was Lucas KO1. It would probably be round 4-5 when he's found his reach and stance vs Khan. Very similar to the Garcia fight. Only this time, khan probably won't get up. But he would take it in a heartbeat, which is why I'm a big fan of his.

He should work towards a fight with either Peterson or Alexander now. Win that and you potentially have a Mayweather fight.
