Do you think Peterson looked slower tonight because he wasn't using PEDS?

Peterson's hand speed and power both looked very lacking tonight. It could be evidenced with the lack of his trademark overhand right. He seemed far slower when compared to some of his past fights.

Do you think this is because Peterson is probably not using PEDS for this fight? Simple logic should dictate that a lack of PEDS would lead to a performance decrease.

In anycase, Lucas proved why he is the most feared man at 140.

I don't know about obviously, but you're right it's possible. It's just as likely that Peterson doesn't want to risk getting caught cheating one more time. He got lucky the first time around, but if he was caught another time, his career would most likely be over.

I kinda doubt he's cheating this time around, especially since his belt isn't even on the line.

No. I think Peterson was at his best and got beat by better fighter. He has only used one type of ped. and that was testosterone. He doesn't use it to cheat but to bring his low testosterone level up to that of a normal male his age. He is still using testosterone in this way and it's legal. If a boxer is going to use peds to gain an advantage in the ring there are many other peds that are much better than testosterone. It is not the ped of choice for drug cheats.

Good win for Matthysse. I was really impressed with Peterson leading up to the fight. I think hes the best at 140 but thats about it. I think he would be undersized at 147. Hes 30 so hopefully he doesnt grow out of the 140lb division. With Haymon in his corner he should earn some really nice purses.
