            Indeed, he was. I scored 116-112 for Whitaker, but I was generous and gave Julio a close round. It could have been 117-111.

                  A top 3 Mexican fighter of all time, but I was more impressed with Salvador Sánchez. I think Salvador is my favorite Mexican fighter ever. Not because he beat one of our greats, in Gómez, but because he was a very complete boxer who accomplished a lot in a short time.

                      Chave Sanches is a What if... figther.
                      Julio was in a planet of his own when it came to boxing, he wasnt only a big puncher he knew how to box.
                      i grew up watching him fight, and he is just my idol
