Comments Thread For: Will Tomlinson Targets Unification Showdowns in U.S.

Australia's Will Tomlinson expects his defence of his International Boxing Organisation (IBO) world title to earn him a unification fight overseas.

Australia's Will Tomlinson is eyeing a unification bout in the United States after successfully defending his International Boxing Organisation (IBO) world title.

Even before downing South Africa's Malcolm Klassen in Melbourne on Thursday night, the 26-year-old was ranked among the world's top 10 super featherweights by each of the sport's four top sanctioning bodies.

Tomlinson expects his unanimous points win over Klassen - a former two-time International Boxing Federation (IBF) champion - to lift him into the top five with each of those bodies. [Click Here To Read More]

      Gene,

I haven't seen him yet. What's his style like? Would he really lose to Rocky Martinez? Mendez doesn't seen that good either. What did you see in Tomlinson that makes him seem lower than the other champs?

      Thanks

            Wtf is an IBO belt

No one is going to take him seriously till he drops that fake belt and wins a real one.

ive seen him fight plenty of times
i agree hes got a huge heart and is good to watch. but he cuts too easy doesnt keep hes hands up in defence therefoe is very hittable. doesnt have world class power. he just lacks the class to be a real force and if hes fighting away from home he wont have favourable judges or ref to help
