Comments Thread For: Kirkland on Angulo Rematch: Any Day, I'd Beat Him Again

I told people this a long time ago.
Angulo didn't punch himself out. It was Kirk's uppercut midway through the round that slowed Angulo down and hurt him. That uppercut took Angulo's leg's away and Kirk just finished strong in the 1st round. Angulo went on to knock the snot out Kirkland's nose, throw vicious combos again, etc later on in the fight.
In fact, you can hear Max Kellerman speak on the uppercut as it happens if you watch the replay of the fight.
Anyway, I'm eager to see if Kirk gets back with Wolfe or not. That's the determining factor in if he wins or loses in the future. It's rather simple math here:
1. With Wolfe = With the exception of Mayweather and maybe Lara, whoops anyone at 154 including Canelo.
2. Without Wolfe = KO'd in the first round again.
Pretty simple stuff here.

Kirkland could come back throw a monkey wrench in a lot of fighter's plans. Including Angulo, Canelo, GGG etc. although who he comes back with will determine who he can fight against. This promoter vs promoter and network vs network **** got to stop.

I'd like to see Kirkland get in w/ the Lara/Angulo winner....I prefer Lara since he beat the piss out of Angulo. If he hadn't had such a long layoff I'd be ready to see hijm fight Canelo even tho I think Canelo would win. I'd like to see how Canelo handles Kirkland's pressure since Canelo doesn't seem to have much gas ion the tank. At least thats what it looked like against Trout.
