How long have Strength & Conditioning coaches been a factor in most top camps?

    How long have Strength & Conditioning coaches been a factor in most top camps?

    I mean really.. were the examples not set long ago what you needed for fights? Old school fighters went 15 rounds and all the strength and conditioning they could possibly do were morning runs and calisthenics.

    Makes no sense to me.

      Some trainers used to do it all, but it's all the same, it's still is really important to be in the right shape to do the things that is demanded of you, only difference now is that S&C coaches get more publicity.

        So basically all fighters take supplements that go under the radar, not even hiding illegals, but just taking good drugs that enhance without the illegal factor.

        Gotcha.

        It doesn't take much brains to see that even a physical hulk like Tyson simply did calisthenics(well in one interview he did say he did 2500 a day.. with a 20 pound weight so most fighters just cant keep up) and ran in the morning..
