What was NSB's general consensus on Prince Naseem?

I believe I was in the 7th or 8th grade during his peak, so I didn't know anything about this site. Loved, hated, in between, or you either love him or hate him?

To those that were on this site during his peak, was he taken lightly as a funny, entertaining boxer, or did he really get under people's skins?

Did people enjoy his showmanship and style, or was he treated like an Adrien Broner type of guy?

I'm not talking casual fans, but NSB posters.

Edit: Was he rooted on by most, or was he the guy people couldn't wait for to get exposed?

Reason why I ask is because, I was rewatching a ton of Naseem entrances and interviews last night for whatever reason, and I was just thinking to myself, "I can't even imagine the reactions this guy got on NSB back then." "I wonder if most people loved him or hated him?"

One of my all time favorite fighters.

A true showman, great reflexes, tremendous power, awkward style. I loved the Prince.

When he fought Barrera I was rooting for Barrera and knew he was going to lose. That is one of the all time great moments in boxing for me. I remember everything surrounding that fight and it was a great time.

My question was, what was the type of reaction he got on this specific board during his peak?

Did he receive Broner type hate, or was he a cult classic type of guy?

I'm not asking how good he was. I'm asking what type of reaction he got from posters on NSB.

Adrien Broner type hate? Paulie Malignaggi type treatment? Amir Khan type hate? Lucas Matthysse cult following? GGG cult following?

i wasn't posting on NSB yet but i wasn't a fan...i appreciated the spotlight he bought to the lower weight classes but even this El Terrible fan became a fan of MAB after he whooped his ass

To be fair during his heyday in the mid to late 90's boxing forums werent as popular as they are now. Internet was still really new then. It was till about 2000's that boxing forums really blew up
So its hard to say what the reaction was.
Was NSB around in 1996-97 when Prince was taking the world by storm???

If i was to guess, he probably got alot of haters. he would be the same as a broner or chavez jr. People hating him but others loving him.
but its like that with all fighters.
Show me a fan boy and i will show you a hater, and vice versa
