I agree that Bute could be a very difficult fight for Ward because of his boxing skills, speed and power. Bute has fast hands and moves well in the ring. The same reason why a match-up against Dirrell would be fun to watch. However I think Ward is one of those special type of boxers that always finds a way to win no matter what style of boxer he's up against. He could very well make it very easy and destroy Bute the way he destroyed Dawson.

I'd like to see what Bute got left though. He looked like crap in his comeback fight. That's why I'm mad that Lucian Bute messed up his hand and they had to cancel the fight against Jean Pascal. I wonder if he will ever be the same boxer he was before the Froch fight.

I agree. Wars could very well destroy Bute in a one sided fight. He's that good. But Bute could just have the skillset/style that could create problems for Ward. It would be interesting to see how Ward would approach that fight.

As for his last fight, while he didn't look great, I thought he still won against one tough SOB. Seriously Grachev is the definition of a fighter. I think he was a kickboxer just a few years ago and his boxing skills have improved since the first time I saw him against Sillakh. Sillakh is/was a hot prospect and he got laid out so at least Butes chin help up. Grachev also just best Erdei who is a great boxer himself.... I'm drawing a blank now, but I swear I think I thought I had Erdei winning that fight though, until he gassed i the late rounds. Id have to rewatch.

Dont give me that crap. If it was Floyd you would be outraged. "Ward isnt challenging himself" or some bull**** like that. At least be consistent with it.

I'd see if I could get pavlik out of retirement for the come back fight. If not, Bute in Montreal or Steiglitz in Oakland.

              Bute is injured.

I'd say Stieglitz but will he leave home for Ward?

Maybe just rematch Bika, his mando.

Stieglitz is probably gonna have a rubber match with Abraham and if he wins he'll milk his title and popularity in germany. Like he did before the AA fights. He's not trying to be worldclass.

It's not a fight that NEEDS to happen but Ward needs an opponent he hasn't already beaten and Golovkin is a better test than most at SMW even though he is a relatively untested middleweight
LOL you said yourself that GGG is an untested MW so why do you want him to move up and face the #1 SMW? Doesn't make sense, boxing fans love to put the cart before the horse.

Money. But the thing is, he could make a huge amount of money by fighting the Bute/Pascal winner in Canada.

If that fight ever comes off, neither guy would get the brakes beat off them. This would be an extremely competitive fight.

^For all the natural talent and speed Dirrell has he's a mental midget. I think Ward figures him out inside of 6 then pummels him for the remainder of the fight. A classic close-on-the-cards but physical one sided butt whooping in reality. Just my 2 cents.
