Comments Thread For: Hearn: Amir Khan Will Never Be a Force at Welterweight!

Promoter Eddie Hearn says former champion Amir Khan should never fight at welterweight because he's not physically built for the weight division and he doesn't have the ability to take a punch. During last month's fight, against Julio Diaz at a catch-weight of 143-pounds, Khan was dropped and hurt badly more than once in the contest.

I actually think Khan should go back to lightweight and fight Ricky Burns. Put that in your crack pipe and smoke it!

Ricky Burns can punch fairly hard and Amir Khan's chin...

Well not that it matter who punches hard when it comes to Khan, you could have the same force of a punch as Paulie Malinaggi has and you'd probably still knock that big fairy out.

            ha ha! nice one eddie!
however, hes only entertaining because the WHOLE WORLD knows just a single punch from pretty much anybody hurts him (haaa) hes been hurt by everyone...gomez, limond, prescott, garcia, diaz to name the **** ones!....imagine what a prime judah or barrera would do to him so, all his drivel about "i know i can beat fmj" looks pretty ****** even to him. or maybe not becaause hes still spouting the same boooooring cr4p.
            he is ****e.
            he cannot take a punch.
            he talks utter nonsense.
he will avoid anybody who has a chance now of even hurting him which leaves us with..........some lightweight domestic fighters.
hes always known he cant take a shot and only faced semi shooters because he had to.
the road ahead is not even now EVERYBODY knows how easy it is.
all anybody has to do with this **** is, swing heavy then cover up and eventually just one will land.
speed nullified and chin on the canvas once more! i cant wait for the next installment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
now im goin for a poo.

I think Hearn has a point. Khan does his best work when fighting short fighters and never looks comfortable fighting fighters his size or bigger as was the case with Prescott. If he moves up they hit harder too but he needs to move up at some point if he is to land a Mayweather fight. Despite not thinking he is really suited for WW I think his best chance of getting a title is by fighting Alexander and that is far safer for him than taking on the winner of the LWW tournament especially if it is a Garcia Mattysse final, both of them knock him out.

Amir will prove people wrong, once again.

He will beat Alexander and Brook. I have no doubt about that.
