    So how many rounds does kessler have to win to get the decision? 8-4?

      I don't think so. That's not the way Kessler is or ever has been.

      He'll give his best, and if he does come up short, they will probably do it a third time provided that it was close again.

      I would hate to think that Kessler would have to KO Froch to win. If he wins he wins, points or KO. Same with Froch. Would hate to see a dodgy decision.

        I agree with you that the winner should always rightfully recieve the win. But if its as close as in HERNING, and they give it to froch, i would not complain.

          I fully expected all the pundits on that show to be patriotic and back Froch. Jones wasnt going to go against the home fighter when he is currently on tour in this Country making money from the British fans.

          I can see why Carl is favourite because he is unlikley to get knocked out and anything short of a landslide will go Carls way on the cards. Its the safest bet if youre putting money on it but worth remembering that in the 1st fight Kessler was more assertive, outlanded Carl in almost every rounds and was never badly hurt himself so I cant see him getting stopped either.

          When you watcnh their first fight, it all points to another close affair. Kessler was abit sharper, his tactics were better and Carl looked abit slower and was recating instead of initiating. Home advantage this time might even it up abit but theres nothing to suggest this wont be another close 12 round war.

            Yes it was a close fight, but Froch threw less and less from rounds 7-12.

            Punch stats:
            * Kessler - Total Thrown: 765, Total Connects: 147 (19%)
            * Froch - Total Thrown: 546, Total Connects: 98 (18%)

            Seeing that Kessler was hurt in round 5 and Froch was hurt in round 8, those nullify each other. Kessler outlanded Froch in nearly every round.
            Those stats makes the first fight look pretty one-sided. And now that Montoya has turned Kessler into a KO-beast, Froch has zero chance of winning.

              I would.

              I've seen the fight around 15 times and each time I score it either 115-113 or 116-112 to Kessler. If you win the rounds, you win the rounds.

              I just feel like Froch will let a lot of the rounds slip away because he's not busy enough. Kessler is a moving target, throws punches in bunches and has KO power in both hands. If the occasion doesn't get to him, I'm confident he can win.

                We could see a repeat, but i dont think so. Froch will defend his body a lot more and kessler will be more in and out, taking less the stalker role.

                I think if you go to the other persons backyard you have to win convincingly to take it, its a part of the charm of boxing. Its harder to travel than to stay.
