Of course not. There's no upside in a rematch with Rigondeaux. The first one was a boring fight in which Rigondeaux was literally jogging around the ring to avoid contact, and there's no reason to think a rematch would be any different.
Donaire is not interested in that type of fight, and neither are the fans. Donaire's fight's are typically very entertaining, and that helps his marketability and appeal. He can't maintain that against a boring track runner who pot shots two or three times a round.
Rigondeaux beat Donaire, no denying that. But, at the end of the day, the highlight of that fight was Donaire ripping away from Rigondeaux's desperate grip and flooring him. That was the only time the analysts or the fans got excited.
No rematch. No need.Comment

You took the words out of my mouth. Manny represpents everything a great fighter should be. He understands that, above all, this is the entertainment business. A fighter has a duty to entertain the fans. He understands that, and wants to fight fighters who make for entertaining fights.
If you ask me, Pacquiao/Rios is the biggest and most appealing fight that has been made in some time now, and it will live up to the billing.
In contrast, Mayweather/Alvarez may never happen, and even if it does, I doubt it turns out to be an exciting fight.
People should enjoy Manny while he's still fighting at a reasonably high level. He's one of boxing's most deserving superstars.
Can't wait to see him and Rios battle.Comment
