    Best Japanese boxers above middleweight?

    Does Japan have larger prospects to watch out for?

    I know there's Yuzo Kiyota at super middleweight and that former heavyweight kick boxer who got knocked out by his own target practice.

    Like most Asian countries Japans best fighters are all fighting below 135 it seems

      Altought there is talk about a HW Rio Hidaki but he is 32 and fought poor comp so far

        Yeah Hidaka has provided some decent KO's but against meh competition.

        Kyotara was a legit arse end top ten kickboxer but..

          With all their sumos they don't seem to be in short supply of big strong guys.

            But thats it any of those big strong guys fight in Sumo and perhaps some fight in MMA.There is currently very little championship caliber fighters above 130

              Though Kamegai looked like he might have had a chance at the world level but its hard too know where he is at nearly 31 now

                Yeah I was gonna say maybe Kamegai will move up to 160 one day. I think he's very good and I can see him beating some of the top WWs.

                  He's taking too long. He was supposed to fight Soto Karass twice but got moved aside for other people.
