People don't think any less of Mexicans for leaving their country for better economic opportunity. It doesn't mean they abandoned their country and heritage. Why is it any different from Martinez?
Do you have a link of him specifically saying the "country" betrayed him? He's talked about how the Argentinian boxing commission, media, and promoters, and abandoned him after the Margarito loss, but when did he say the "country" betrayed him? If he did say country, he probably meant it under that context. That's a completely different issue from the being betrayed by the people in general.
It's not as if Narvaez has been left to hang. He manages to fill up Luna park (like 10k) everytime he fights. And unlike Martinez, they've actually air all of Narvaez' fights. I think the first fight Argentina aired for Martinez (after he stopped fighting in the country) was against Dzizniruk. Narvaez has had every chance of the world to be star in his country and he's done it by taking the path of least resistance by fighting bums. And he basically was the biggest boxing attraction in his country before Martinez. It's true that Martinez ended up getting huge by whoring himself to the media, not necessarily because of his boxing talent and accomplishments. But hes done a heck of a lot more than Narvaez to deserve it for Narvaez be talking smack.
