The fight was marketed as MMA vs Boxing is Nicaragua. It was meant to show up boxing and land MMA in the country. No wonder they're pissed. Every time their little MMA vs boxing stunts backfire they always have excuses.

How is a knee to the back illegal. Wasn't like he knee'd him in the balls. He was stuck in a triangle choke and knee'd guy to the back. It wasnt like the other guy was down and mayorga was standing over him with knees to the head.

In actuality, it is the closest combat sport to real fighting, but there are obvious rules. Because at the end of the day, it is still a regulated sport.

What other combat sport has multiple arts applied in a competition? None other has the diversity and the arts which can be used in one on one, hand to hand, especially in a street situation. Any knowledgeable fan of combat sports should know that.
