martinez looked flat out bad, at least in comparison to what he used to be.
Martinez is clearly past his best but would you put big money on Chavez stopping him? I wouldn't. He would be a live dog but I can't outright pick him to win, he's still a big slow clumsy fighter with no defense.

if the odds looked good i would take chavez via stoppage. absolutely. my biggest issue with jr now would be his inactivity. the jr that martinez fought would have stopped the martinez that fought martin murray.

Different styles though and Martinez was injured. Murray has more boxing skills than Chavez too. The rematch would be very interesting but to flat out pick Chavez? I won't make that leap.

Very smart move cause next time around Jr. would seriously damage Martinez. He got lucky things went over Jr's head and he didn't take training seriously.

I dont get why you people dont understand that Chavez jr sucks. first of all its his fault he didnt take training or Martinez seriously. that just shows how ****** you are. You should never underestimate any opponent. even if its fifty year old morales. second even if fat boy did take training serioulsy he would have still been slower than me, and it wouldnt have changed his technique much cuz they had the wrong game plan. third the only reason Chavez lasted with Martinez was because fat cheater steroid boy weighed 185+ on fight night. of course Martinez cant KO a ****in Cruiserweight, and its actually sad that fat boy couldnt KO Martinez with such a great weight advantage and he even had like a full two minutes to try to finish Martinez and he was landing flush shots on Martinez and guess what? he couldnt put him away , so all of you Maravilla haters need to stop saying all this bull****.

Let's see where things are when Martinez makes his return, maybe a Chavez Jr. rematch will be huge, it might not be attractive at all. A lot can happen in a year.

Im a Martinez fan but i think its naive to say Chavez sucks. He is way underestimated, and he did better with Martinez than most. Also i dont think he is such a spoilt brat, he was quite humble on 24/7...

Chavez now knows he can hurt martinez. Chavez in the first time was doing great every time he let his hands go the problem was that he wasnt. I predict in the rematch that chavez will go straight to work and break martinez down mid round ko. Chavez needs to understand that he will take two to land one

Segio owes nothing to that fat ****. He owned him for 11 rds and then he landed a lucky punch on a guy who boxed his ears off the entire time. Not only that but he was a tired AND injured fighter... and people think this disgrace to the chavez name deserves a rematch?
