Trout was a good start for Canelo to answer some of the unanswered questions we had about him BUT it was just one fight against another guy that had similar questions about himself. Plus it clearly showed that he has stamina issues and a low work-rate.

Canelo is being rushed, maybe because he wants it so badly, to fight Floyd. He in fact needs more time to develop, learn against different types of opponents and fix his stamina issues.

We need to see Canelo fight guys that may present difficult opponents that can help him in the long run for not just Floyd but other fights. Guys that come to mind are Lara and Molina ....

I would give Floyd some credit if he fights and decisively beats Canelo. It would be a good step toward gaining the credit he lacks from people who question his choice of comp.(which includes me). IMO he should have fought PAC, a fresh undefeated cotto, p. Williams, margarito, Kostya zu, and a couple others. Can you imagine his stature if he had fought those guys. But that's Floyd's legacy.

"The pressure of greatness always comes with critiquing"... imo Floyd will never get the credit he deserves. Even if he dominates Canelo, the excuses will still be there.

If Floyd dismantles Ginger it will be a nice win on his resume, and that is all it is though. Its not otherworldly. He finally fought a man people might give him the most problems and it was a fight everyone wanted to see.
Floyd dont do that too often but dont go overboard, Floyd wont get bravery medals or anything, just a pat on the back will suffice.

Canelo would actually get stopped should they fight. It wouldn't go to a decision. Canelo takes rounds off and may have stamina issues. I don't see anyway that the Canelo who fought Trout would not get stopped.
