I agree that Lucas can definitely box from the back foot, in fact that's where he's most comfortable

I wonder if people really think Lucas is a come forward only type of fighter, or if they've actually watched his fights
    People actually do think that...

Agree, I'm not on the Matthysse bandwagon but I saw a good part of his fight versus Zab Judah and he can box real good

What make you guys think that he'll KO Peterson anyway? I'm not saying that he won't do it and Matthysse got power but he's not really a one-punch KO artist.

Against Devon, he landed like 30 shots on him in the 7th round and he still couldn't get him out of there. Devon was fatigued in the championship rounds (8-10) but not really hurt.

I also had Matthysse winning against Devon but in no way he outclassed him. He had a great 7th and 8th round but he still couldn't get Devon out of there. He clearly didn't do anything in the 9th, and Devon outworked him. The 10th was Matthysse's.

I had it 95-94, for Lucas. He landed the harder punches but he hardly dominated Devon.

I think he lost to Devon Alexander ! I watched the fight and it wasn't the robbery everyone is crazy about !

I respect your opinion. I also agree that it wasn't a robbery. It was close. But I still had Lucas winning by 1 (one!) round. He did more damage but in some rounds he just got outworked by Alexander - like in the 9th. You could give Lucas the 96-93 nod but still no robbery and he did not dominate Devon. He made Devon dig deep but by no means a dominating performance.

Lucas is a fighter who finishes strong. He did get off earlier against Devon compared to his fight against Judah but he didn't really dominate in the early rounds. He got a KD in the 4th, won the 7th and 8th big but let Devon get into the fight in the 9th. The 10th round went to Lucas but only by a slight margin. The remaining rounds could go either way.

Nobody will ko anybody, both are tough as nail and will refuse to be ko'ed.
