canelo's not the bank in this fight.... it's floyd....

floyd comes in at 150lbs on the night of a 'superwelterweight' fight..... and canelo comes in at 168lbs.....

so all the advantages are for canelo.... canelo would still weigh 10lbs more than floyd if they fought at welterweight....

I could be wrong but when Floyd fought Oscar in 2007 I believe Oscar called all the shots! The weight 154, glove size, ring size, everything. Oscar was the man and the cash cow so Floyd had to respect that if he wanted to fight him.

Now Canelo and his team want Floyd they should respect that he is the cash cow and will call the shots. When Canelo just fought Trout, Canelo made sure that he had a rematch if he loss and it was in Texas, but Trout did not get that same agreement in his contract why? Because Canelo was the main draw!

It happens all the time Pac made Marquez and Bradley and now Rios come up to welterweight to fight him because Pac is the main draw it happens all the time. Dawson came down from 175 to 168 to face Ward because Ward is the man. If Floyd doesn't want to fight a guy who just weighed roughly 172 his last fight than he doesn't have to.

At the end of the day that is the only advantage Canelo has over Floyd is size, if that gets taking away Canelo would get beat a lot worse than what Robert did. He is a patient fighter who takes a lot of breaks and seemed to have some stamina issues his last fight.

172 is 3 pounds away from light heavyweight... He could fight Chad Dawson and not really be outweighed that much on fight night.

Canelo called out Floyd, so he needs to fight at Floyd's weight. If not, why doesn't Canelo move up to middle weight.

Mayweather is the draw, Mayweather should dictate the terms. Where does Canelo get the idea that he can dictate the terms of the fight?

Also we must remember who it is that desires this fight... CANELO! If he wants it make it happen by taking his arse down to 147. Ward is up their on the P4P list and will bring a boatload of money as well, I don't see him calling him out! He can certainly make the weight and if he does he'll come into the fight as a cruiser.

I think Floyd beats him either way and i wish he just would (to shut everyone up)..But as the biggest draw in boxing, who was called out by his opponent, why should Floyd give this kid a 20 lb weight advantage? He probably feels the he'd outweigh him regardless, but the re-hydration from 147 will be more reasonable. Logically i just dont see how Floyd is out of line here, or how is it a duck if Canelo doesn't agree???

So Mayweather wants the fight at 147, so make it happen. Canelo is 14 years younger than Mayweather, he can make the weight. Mayweather has not been near his best at 154. He lost more rounds in the two fights at that weight than he has lost in his entire run at 147 combined. De La Hoya, Margaritto, and Cotto all came down to fight Manny. No fighter has ever came down to fight Floyd. If Canelo wants the fight he will agree to the terms. The damn guy is fight at Super welterweight, but on fight night he's at light heavy.
