Go ask this to Floyd's opponents at how many fights and how good they looked at WW:
Marquez = 0
Ortiz = 1
Guerrero = 2
Hatton = 1
Sharmba = 1

How many of those were actual WWs?

Mayweather should have an interest in canelos title. Why? Because he has a title in that division and he claimed he would not drain fighters to enhance his legacy.

i agree with the sentiments in this thread. if he wants to fight Canelo he should go to 54 to do so.

However i'd like to point out that 95% of the posters in here weren't this voracious in attacking MP for not fighting Cotto at 47 or Margo at 54, in fact many of you now attacking this move were defending Manny. So what gives? Is it that Mayweather is just that much better than Manny that we should hold him to a higher standard?

If you said Mayweather and Pac were the same size, then there's no reason whatsoever for you to have been against Manny fighting Martinez at 154; same for Mayweather.

That said, Mayweather should fight Canelo at 154.

Everyone else who said the former 154 lb champ (i.e. Pac) shouldn't have fought Martinez at 154, but says Mayweather should fight Canelo at 154, although I agree, needs to shut the fcuk up.

Regardless to what he's ranked he no longer holds a title in the division and he has no reason to want Canelos. Canelo wants Mayweather Canelo should put in the work to get Mayweather, its that simple. And if Mayweather decides to fight Canelo for kicks and giggles I feel he should have a stipulation where Canelo can't weigh more than 154-160 on fight night

Ghost was credible, I predicted him to win. Look at the Floyd who fought Cotto. Cotto is shot, slow, and short. Floyd got his by his slow hands. Floyd got outboxed in some rounds. Ghost is bigger, and taller than Cotto. Ghost can box, apply pressure better than Cotto, and make small adjustments on the fly. I predicted him to dominate Floyd. The Floyd who fought Ghost, was fighting the way he fought the tall guys back at the lower weights, in Genero and Diego. The Floyd who fought Cotto, would have lost.

And Ghost is better than Ortiz. Ortiz is a brawler. Ghost is bigger, taller, wider back than Ortiz, and can Brawl and box.

When Floyd fought Ortiz, Floyd was coming off a layoff, and in his last fight, he got caught by Mosley.

Ortiz is bigger, stronger, younger, and a southpaw. A very dangerous opponent for Floyd at the time. If Mosley had caught him, then I thought this young bear would do the same. Floyd showed his greatness in walking down the bigger guy.

I completely dissagree with you on that my friend, because I predicted Floyd to have problems in both fights.

This reminds me of you insisting Chavez' win over Lee was excellent, cause the bookies with their wide Chavez odds don't know ****, and Lee was supposed to outclass him in your opinion.
