if i had to pick one fighter and the manner in which i think he'll win the fight, it's mathysse on points.

the smart bet might be lamont on points, though. i'm not sure what the odds look like, but i doubt peterson is favored. i can't see either guy running away with it. lamont has been in with better fighters than matthysse, but and matthysse looks most dangerous against light comp.

this fight will probably go 12. i'll obviously be pleasantly surprised if it does not. i don't like seeing people get hurt, but the terminability of a boxing match is what makes it special.

you can score a 10 run homer in the 9th inning.

Probably always a good idea for Matthysse to go for the knockout when fighting on US soil at least for the time being.

Even with Haymon on his side?

Everyone always thinks Haymon is a good thing.

Ask Lara how signing with Haymon has worked out for him so far. There's a reason why Haymon snatched up Matthysse and something tells me is not to look for out his (Matthysse's) benefit.

Man, you could be right. I hope to God, that's not the case, and they don't pull some silly stuff with Lucas's career, only to prevent him from fighting Haymon's real money maker, Danny boy.

Edit: On the other hand, maybe, just maybe, Haymon thinks Matthysse has the best chance of winning the tourney, so he can make money off both him and Floyd for a future showdown, and sees some big money opportunities with him.

It could be either one but Matthysse is not a seller so I'd go with the first option.

I would prefer to see it go all 12. It seems it could be close, maybe get a trilogy of of these two if it's good lol
