Comments Thread For: Ricky Burns To Keep an Eye on Gonzalez's Left Hook

RICKY BURNS is ready to use months of frustration as his biggest weapon when he defends his WBO world lightweight title.

The Scot meets Puerto Rican Jose Gonzalez at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow tonight after several planned fights fell through.

After his stunning fourth round stoppage of Kevin Mitchell in September, a clash with Liam Walsh collapsed, with the same fate befalling an intended bout with replacement Jose Ocampo.

A fight with IBF belt holder Miguel Vazquez was then lined up but the meeting never came off, much to Burns’ dismay. [Click Here To Read More]

The fact that this guy is unknown makes this a dangerous fight, I haven't seen much of Gonzales but hope Burns takes it tonight.

Burns may get knocked out in this one and I hope he does. It will serve him right for ducking Broner continuously.

Adrien Broner is ducking Ricky Burn why else do you think he went up to 147 to fight Malinaggi?

Convenient excuse to escape it, If Gavin Rees could tag him imagine what Burns would do to that overrated ugly little bastard.

Plus Daniel Ponce De Leon was mugged he beat Broner.

Big step up for Gonzalez but any puncher is always dangerous.Hopefully Ricky can come through this and set up a Vazquez unification

It's almost as ridiculous as what you're claiming Ross. How has he "continuously" ducked Broner?

By moving up from a weight he wasn't comfortable at to fight the huge punching Katsidis? You think that's ducking?

Or by not taking a fight for less than he deserves. Is that the ducking?

Or are the there other times that only you know about?

You're normally a sensible poster but in this case you're going along with the He's a ducker/coward/***** crowd that infest these pages.
