That's because Broner at the time could not fight in the pocket, which is why he strayed away every time PDL got close. Think it's obvious he's a much more improved fighter. Hit harder? That's laughable, more accurate at the time yes.

mares had the advantage of knowing how ponce fights , they used to spar each other...and i dont think ponce really won vs broner anyways , nobody deserved to win that fight imo....both did'nt do **** ...
