gave away 1,400 or so tickets, 109 or something went unsold.....let's say 1,550 total. The MGM holds 16,800 seats, that's almost 11% of the total seating that you got absolutely no revenue from. Take that at the average selling value of $696.00 per ticket and you have $1,078,800.00 in lost revenue alone.

I guess that's good but still..........they took in 9.9 million and left 11% of their revenue on the table; could be looking at 10,978,000.00 instead.

This s h i t aint the best numbers in the world but for guy being the only name attraction in an event it aint shabby. Guerero isn't a name that will generate money that's worth talking about so this fight depended solely on Floyd's name. Regardless, it was an average night for Money.

i think it is way too offhanded, in here and in any other fights, to not count the possible draw the supporting bouts have......

to give all credit to the main bout protagonists for the gate and ppv successes or failure of a fight is wrong....

Dude u dot understand that supposed real boxing fans don't mean sh it web it comes to revenue! Most real boxing fans here are always looking for a stream to watch the fights for free. Casual fans are the ones that run the sport! Casual fans are probably 75% of the ones who buy the PPV and pay thousands of dollars to watch the fight live. There aren't many real boxing fans like me who buy almost all PPV fights and subscribe to both HBO and Showtime so that I can watch and enjoy as many fights as I can. RG is literally unknown that's why the PPV numbers are under 1mil. When Cotto fought Floyd it was easy to come out and say it did x amount of buys because both fighters are well know by both cašal and "real" boxing fans. Don't act like "real" boxing fans run the sport cause we don't. It's the numb nuts that order the fight because Floyd Mayweather is fighting some guy "that is suppose to be really good even though I've never heard of him". Gets your facts straight
