I don't think Golovkin is going to have more success stopping Toney than Peter, Rahman, Lebedev or Holyfield. In fact, I'd say it's more likely Toney puts too much leather on Golovkin and ends up stopping him than vice versa.

Toney is very slippery and just a better fighter in every way barring power. But he was accurate and not feather-fisted by any definition.

    Toney UD.

Only time Toney's stamina fails him is when he's at an all you can eat buffet.

I don't know. We really need to see GGG with top guys to make this call. As for now, Toney is the safer bet.

What on earth makes you think Golovkin has more power than Toney?

James toney would take to school most middleweights to ever lace them up, GGG who isn't much more than hype at this moment doesn't belong in the same sentence. Depending on what he goes on to achieve the answer could change, but I don't see it, Lights Out was special, a once in a lifetime fighter.

The eye test. Unless you've tested them with a PSI machine, I'm sticking with it.

No shame in not hitting as hard as Golovkin.

Right now I would lean towards Toney simply because we do not know how truly good GGG is yet. We will need to wait another year or so to properly gauge where he is at. We do know Toney was a fantastic Middleweight who was extremely tough, crafty and hard to hit. He was an exceptional middleweight fighter. GGG is just starting to test his worth against top fighters but we will have to wait to see where he ends up. He has a ton of potential, has a pleasing style and basically wants to destroy guys in there. Time will tell.

I doubt GGG would even hit Toney. Toney by ko.

Jirov, Nunn, and Barkley thought so though

                      Juiced to the gills.

Golovkin on steroids would also be something to behold.
