Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn has won the right to stage the fight for the British middleweight title between John Ryder and Billy Joe Saunders.
Hearn won the purse bids on behalf of Ryder, who is unbeaten in 14 fights, however 'the Gorilla' will be the underdog against champion Saunders, who has a 17-0 ledger.
Saunders was a crack amateur and added the vacant title to his Commonwealth strap - which could also be on the line - in December when he beat Nick Blackwell.
Two of Hearn's stable have moved on from domestic level with both Tony Bellew and Brian Rose no longer British champions.
Bellew has bigger fish to fry as he seeks a world title shot, with his light-heavyweight title going to either Bob Ajisafe or Ovill McKenzie who will scrap for the vacant belt. [Click Here To Read More]
