Judging by what they've shown so far, Peterson is the better infighter. He'll eventually have to take the fight there, and whether Matthysse can match him inside will determine the fight.

Peterson cannot sit at range and outbox Matthysse. His only chance with that strategy is that the judges rob Matthysse again.

Why can't the far longer fighter sit at range and box again??

Because Peterson's not good enough at that. Peterson's never shown the ability to sit at range and box when fighting his best opponents. He's much better inside. If he fights at range, when Matthysse can shoot that deadly right hand, he'll lose.

His best chance is inside, where Matthysse's abilities are still in question.

Peterson is right when he says Matthysse has underrated boxing skills. This should be a very good fight whether it goes the distance or not.

I don't think it's a bad idea,as long as Peterson works behind his jab..Peterson is a monster body puncher,if he is going toe to toe he will be sapping some of Matt's power with body work..I like Peterson's mentality going into this fight..This is going to be a really good fight can not wait..

he mathysse goes toe toe with peterson. he will get KO'ed. period.it also can become a beating. because mathesse can't fight at all going backwards.

Lucas unless I am mistaken has not been knocked down and he has fought faster and harder hitters than Lamont. On the other hand Peterson has been put down a number of times. If Peterson decides to get in a fire fight I see Lucas knocking him out.
