Pac's MASSIVE KO loss is bad business for Mayweather??

Well according to DRafa it is.....

    Dan Rafael ✔ @danrafaelespn

Don't underestimate this if PPV did as bad as I've heard: Pacquiao's loss hurt it. Make no mistake. Without specter of May-Pac less interest

    http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/sports/05...uerrero-report

Claims that is one of the reasons Floyd bombed with the PPV numbers........

We still don't know the real numbers, but did people really expect 1 million plus against Guerrero??? After thinking about it, I said 900K probably, around what he did with Ricky Hatton.

        yes I called this before

        it is actually 2 reasons

floyd used pac and canelo to boost his ppv buys, as I said before, take out canelo and the potential pac fight out of say ortiz and that fight does around 900k, it was pac and canelo that helped floyd get high ppv

now that both are gone, floyd will struggle to do anything more than 1.1m ppv unless its with them

he fooled the public in saying it was him but actually it was canelo and pac adding around 200-300k ppv buys to his end total

think it probabley also has something to do with the undercard not having another ppv star like in the past

cinco de mayo + mexican superstar = profit

Guys floyd didn't do any promotion/media becaus his $32 mil is guaranteed. The networks need 1.2 to break even-at 900k floyd still gets paid in abundance.

SO it was definitely ****** for showtime to do the ghost fight this way but I dont think it hurt floyd. Unless you think his not selling 1 mil ppv's hurt him.

Pretty simple, floyd is not near the draw he claims. If u go by how he talks, it would seem like he can do 1.3-1.5 mill alone fighting a no name. I never believed he could, he needs another big name to do good numbers. As usual, he oversold himself.

Gate estimate is about $9,000,000(those are the number from Ortiz which it should be similar)

Also the business like Hooters and other sport bars that order the PPV they have to pay a license fee. Which means more money than the $60-$70 that a regular household would pay.

Just in PPV and gate. The event come up to $65,500,000
This is not including any income coming for the commercials and sponsors.

I've read a few reports where it has been suggested showtime needed floyd to do his average sales to break even. His guarantee was in part based on his previous sales.

The CBS documentary, all the commercials, etc all cost money.
