I don't want to be one of those "I told you so" people but from the minute the Murray fight was made I told everyone Martinez was in for a tough bout. His age, the lay-off & the injuries were always going to go against him coupled with Murray being a big, strong, fearless fighter.

And the poster who mentioned the rain has a point too. That helped Murrays style & worked against Sergio.

He might still have one or two top performances left in him but age plus wear & tear are definitely his toughest opponents right now.

He looked old. If he was just trying to put on a show, he would have stopped late in the fight when he was in danger of losing.

"Exposed"....right. The only thing that was exposed was that Sergio has a boatload of injuries that need to heal up.

I will start by saying that I like Sergio and enjoy watching him fight and I am a fan. I also have to admit that saying he was exposed my have been jumping the gun a bit. However, I have said before and I will say in again I believe he is overrated. And why? I will tell you.

He beat a very limited one dimensional fighter in Pavlik to win the title. Pavlik was also obviously having some heavy duty personal problems and the fight was even after eight rounds. Bhop even put a worse whopping on Pavlik until the Martinez fight changed when Kelly was cut and could no longer see. It is speculation on my part but I do wonder what would happened if Pavlik was not cut. But, in fairness to Sergio he did turn the heat up in the championship rounds.

Sergio than beat, in my opinion, one of the most overrated fighters I have seen in all my time of watching boxing in Paul Williams. A fighter that he had already lost to and why was he overrated? Read on.

Because he gets way to much credit for beating old fighters. He was 2 and 2 in world title fights. He never dominated any division and he lost to a scrub fighter. Many even thought that he lost or at least his fight with Margacheato was a draw. And Antonio's whole career is one big question mark to me and gets little to no respect.

Sergio than beats a fighter who should have stayed in Germany in Dzinziruk and a couple of decent fighters but nothing great . He than fights another highly overrated fighter in Junior. He than by most accounts lost his fight against Martin Murray.

With that said I believe that Sergio has had a decent career. However, he never unified the title or even beat another middle weight champion after Pavlik. Accept the one that was spoon fed the belt. And when it is all said and done I don't believe that fighting limited and overrated fighters mixed in with some decent ones makes you one of the best P4P fighters in the world. And I believe that at very least that Sergio's career has been exposed as overrated.

The fight looks good on paper but no contest. GGG (W) by KO.

Murray a big strong fearless fighter? Big and strong maybe, def not fearless. He was so afraid to get countered he spent most of the fight in the boring peek-a-boo defense. That's why he didn't get the win. You gotta take the title. In the later rounds he was facing a fading and tired Sergio and he didnt show much aggression. If Sergio gets that knee healthy he will come back and show everybody just how good he is. Don't forget he dominated Chavez for 12 rds...He was plagued by injuries fighting and fighting on a wet surface. He's gonna prove the doubters wrong just like mayweather did!
