But why fight again if I just put u to sleep! Arum shouldn't have had them fighting again anyway! How many chances are u going to give someone to tknock u out!
I believe Pacquiao's "Im knocking him out" mentality got him KO'd... But I do believe Marquez should give Pac a 5th fight... I remember marquez promoter saying that since Pacquiao gave them a 4th fight... then the honorable thing is to give Pacquiao a 5th fight... well Marquez is on a pride high now so... no go

JMM has earned the right to fight whover he wants, whenever he wants. I have no problem with him taking the Bradley fight over a 5th with Pac. I think he beats Bradley and gets the 5th title. But just because he chose not to fight Pacquiao next, doesn't rule out he could fight him after Bradley. I still think they fight again.

Personally, this lowers my estimation of Marquez. Pacquiao could have said all this after the previous 4 fights but he didnt. The first fight was ruled a draw, rematch fair enough. After Pac was ruled the winner in the second he could have turned around and said he proved himself but he gave JMM a shot. After he was ruled the winner again in the third fight, he could have turned around and said it again but he didn't. He gave JMM another shot. In the 4th, he was winning the fight and got hit with one huge shot that got him KO'd, fair enough. JMM doesn't have to give him his chance but either did Pacquiao....twice. It's not about money, it's about returning the favour. To me, it makes him look like a bit of a ****

          EDIT: previous 3 fights, typo

            [QUOTE=charlieg;13341883]
People calling it a lucky punch are ignorant.

It's not a counter punch though. It is just a beautifully executed well timed right. As Pacquiao comes in, step left and *boom* but it's not a counter. Pacquiao hasn't thrown first - if anything, he's about to throw.
It's very much a counter my friend and you need to study up on what a counter punch is. A counter is not simply a punch that comes AFTER another punch is thrown, a counter can be a punch that is used OFF of another punch the way JMM used the right hand. When you train righty vs lefty, we all know the right hand and left hand are COUNTERS to the opposite handed fighter. He knew that Pac was throwing that shot and countered with a perfect right hand simultaneouslywhen Pac threw his right handed jab. Now we might be arguing semantics but the bottom line is, JMM practiced this shot in camp, you can believe that.

So Pacquiao fights him 3 times, knocks him down 4 times, and still fights him again...

Marquez talks about honor. It's interesting to hear his definition of honor. His definition is not honor, it's pride, and that's totally different.

"I won by KO therefore I don't need another fight." He's proud of the end result, that's fine.

However, the honorable thing would be to give the guy a rematch, since he gave you 2 rematches after getting wins. And don't cry about the judging, no fight was a robbery, they were all close as hell.

Even this fight was close, ironically. But for the knockdown in the 3rd and the knock out, it was a really one sided fight and Marquez was getting his face peeled off. In the 6th, they were talking about how much longer before Marquez's corner put an end to it.
So just because you knock down an opponent means you won that fight or that it should have gone to Pac? You do realize that JMM won more rounds in the 3 previous fights than Pac don't you?

The fights were very close and I have stated many times here that I wasn't upset with Pac getting the split decision wins, they could have gone either way. Even though I must admit I had JMM winning the 3rd fight more clearly.

JMM was in a tough fight no doubt but at 39 years old, and his career coming to and end, I think knocking out one of the greatest ever is a perfect way to end this rivalry. He isn't running from Pac, and the reason that Pac gave him the rematches is because the decisions were controversial. There was nothing controversial about this one, I bet you if it was Pac that knocked out JMM, Roach and Pac would see no point in rematching JMM.

The series is over, Pac lost out to an ATG.

I can respect the choice of Bradey as an opponent though I really think Marquez should give Pacquiao the chances that Pacquiao gave him. It is the honorable thing to do.

However, given the way Marquez talks, it is clear he's not an honorable man but a proud man.
Saying JMM has no honor, shows your ignorance and lack of understanding of the kind of man he truly is. There were 4 fights, all close except the last one when JMM put Pac to sleep, series over.

Bradley is a very tough fight and shows that JMM doesn't take easy fights. He fought Floyd, something Pac didn't do. So you tell me who has more "honor"....

            JMM is the ***in man.

I also remember Pac and Marquez saying that this was going to be the final chapter! Marquez said win or lose that this was going to be the final chapter! So I would go out on top to! They waited to fight Marquez untill he got old and thought he was a stepping stone anyway! I like Pac, but he lets Bob control him, and that is his downfall! As matter of fact, after Rios who just loss, who will Pac fight? bob stable isn't wide like golden boy! Pac is threw with! He'll probably tko Rios, but Rios is trash, and taylor made for Pac! Shays next after that though? A bradley rematch? CMON! AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT!!!

Let's not forget he knocked down Pac earlier in the fight. JMM was on his A game and came out and did what nobody thought he could do, knock out one of the ATG's in the sport. This series is OVER, JMM won.

                End of discussion.
                jmm looked like crap.

                sluggish.

jmm looked better in previous pac fights.

he ktfo pac but he looked way better in the past.

i think he put on too much muscle.

                  Exactly.

Marquez is a great boxer, but his personality towards Manny screams a little b1itch who just can't accept defeat. He practically lost 3/4 of his fights and doesn't even have the respect to say they were close and that it could of gone either way and that he respects the judges and atleast now he finally has his win.

Instead he screams ROBBERY after each fight, has a huge tantrum and leaves the arena, he shows no sign of honor, he has his 1 and only official win, and now he's running with it and it is as simple as that. Manny gave him rematches because the fans wanted it and the fights were close.

Why the hell do I get the feeling if Marquez won even 1 of those fights previously he'd never give him a rematch and just walk away claiming hes better than Pacquaio.

1 on 1 Marquez and Pacquaio are extremely close, but overall Pacquaio is miles above him, and you can see Marquez hates it deep down, he's so bitter. He doesn't have honor, he hides behind a HUGE sense of Mexican pride, and it clouds his judgement and makes him come across as such an immense prick when facing Pacquaio.

thats fair enough. there is no point to a 5th fight. although the 4 fights were all great to watch, they cant just keep fighting each other because if a 5th fight happened the loser will want a 6th and so on.

i still believe pacquiao has the best chance against mayweather and that fight should still happen. but for the time being, pac vs rios will be good to watch but its not a great name on pacs resume. marquez vs bradley is a solid fight but personally, im not that high on bradley.

We all know why JMM wanted the rematches with MP,Marquez felt he had won. Why did Manny give Marquez the rematches, Pacquiao in his heart felt that he did not win and wanted to make believers out the doubters.

It couldn't have been money motivating MP to do 4 fights with JMM.If that was the case and it was just a business move than Pacquiao would have taken the biggest purse ever in his career and did whatever was needed to be done to get Floyd Mayweather Jr in the ring.

                      Just my opinion.:****you:
