Comments Thread For: Marquez Explains Why He Picked Bradley over Pacquiao

**** Marquez!
Man listen. Marquez lost three out of four fights because he doesn't throw enough or land enough punches. PERIOD. You have to outwork a fighter like Manny or you're in trouble. While the third encounter was close, Manny's defense won him the fight outside of the fact that he once again threw more and landed more. Marquez was able to land single shots but Manny won the sparring session. Finally in the fourth fight, Marquez brought his new strength coach to the dance and powered up; even then he suffered more than Manny did. He was about to get stopped. One more thing about the first two fights is that he managed to hit the canvas and Manny didn't. How can you statistically score the fight for the guy that went down if he doesn't get up and KO/stop his opponent? It's not possible and that's why he lost the first two fights. This guy is a cheater and Manny hater like so many others. He is a sore loser who would do ANYTHING to beat his biggest rival and he did. Karma is a ***** and Bradley will win. He's to fast and athletic for Marquez UNLESS he powers up again.

I'm glad he took the Bradley fight. I've been wanting to see different match ups in the LWW and WW divisions. There's so much talent there, I don't see the point in them 2 doing it again. It will be entertaining, but so can other match ups. Plus, as he said, JMM and Pac should be in title fights, they both earned that.

Pacquiao could have played it safe and passed on fights 3 and 4 but gave JMM more fights. C'mon Juan, give the fans a 5th fight.

It's not a counter punch though. It is just a beautifully executed well timed right. As Pacquiao comes in, step left and *boom* but it's not a counter. Pacquiao hasn't thrown first - if anything, he's about to throw.

End of discussion.
Marquez talks about honor. It's interesting to hear his definition of honor. His definition is not honor, it's pride, and that's totally different.
"I won by KO therefore I don't need another fight." He's proud of the end result, that's fine.
However, the honorable thing would be to give the guy a rematch, since he gave you 2 rematches after getting wins. And don't cry about the judging, no fight was a robbery, they were all close as hell.
Even this fight was close, ironically. But for the knockdown in the 3rd and the knock out, it was a really one sided fight and Marquez was getting his face peeled off. In the 6th, they were talking about how much longer before Marquez's corner put an end to it.
I can respect the choice of Bradey as an opponent though I really think Marquez should give Pacquiao the chances that Pacquiao gave him. It is the honorable thing to do.
However, given the way Marquez talks, it is clear he's not an honorable man but a proud man.

Some boxing fans have been brain washed, Marquez is doing what is suppose to be done by all BOXERS, all ATG and P4P's and thats take the toughest or best challenge available, the toughest fight, is not always the biggest money fight.

In the 3rd fight, Marquez blew it. He was up and then took his foot off the gas at the end. All he had to say is this, we fought 3x, the fights were close but the forth fight, I khtfo and that's why I don't need to fight him. I like that more then him saying he practically won all four fights.
'm cool with anyone who gave Pac the first two, but if you think he won the third you are trolling or have your Manny blinkers on.
