What is it about Canelo that you think is so great. I don't even know if he would have beaten the Paul Williams Lara fought. With his **** stamina Williams would probably have stoped him late.

They come and go. The hype Khan had for example, he was supposed to be the next superstar, my god the hype on here before the Peterson fight was crazy. Roy Jones said ''I'd love to see Khan vs Floyd, I'd like to see how he made the adjustment'' NSB took his comment to a whole new level.
Khan was supposed to beat Floyd, wreck Tommy Hearns, box rings around Duran.
      Crazy world we live in.

Carmelo now beats Lara, haha, more chance of a one legged bloke winning an ar5e kicking contest.
I hate to doubt you, Dan, especially after your magnificent call on Rigo, but I'm not sure I agree with you. I used to think Erislandy would beat Canelo, but I've since changed my mind. I've always thought Lara was good, but nothing special. Alvarez has turned out to be better than I thought. I now think Canelo would beat Landy. My Cuban boy is a little hard luck to begin with, and he's just not very active. Pulling off a victory against a new Mexican star while having an inactive style seems unlikely. Could Lara score the KO? It's always a possibility; but Erislandy has good power, not great power.

What myth? Did you read my post? I picked Lara to win but I didn't make any exaggerated comments like you did. I gave a reasonable explanation.

Meanwhile you're here talking about Canelo beats Lara easily while using some triangle theory bs. "Lara looked like crap vs Vanes" Sorry but I got nothing to learn from you with comments like that. Did you know Lara fought that fight with a broken hand and while "he looked like ****" (according to you) he still whipped Vanes.

            oh here we go....

lets try one more time - i think canelo beats lara because canelo is stronger, he has more experience (even though against lesser competition, he's been in the PRO ring much more), i think his in ring smarts are better. i think he knows how to win fights. i think he has obviously been more active. he is younger. he is hungrier. what else would you like?

and lol@ the triangle theory comment. everyone uses them, but only when its inconvenient for your opinion, are they called upon to retort, even though it makes you look like you're reaching. but in any case, what other explanation do you require for my opinion?

edit: he didnt whip vanes, he fought to a draw with vanes. and no one cares he hurt his hand. tons of fighters hurt their hands and continue fighting on, so dont use that as a point either please

Trout is only 1/2" taller than Lara and Lara's reach is 1/2 longer than trout's so not much difference.
Those numbers don't seem like a lot but I get the impression Trout has the bigger frame. I've always thought of Lara as a small JMW. I think the only guys he's fought that are his size were Molina and Hernandez. That I remember anyway. Maybe I'm underestimating Lara's size. I do remember at one point he wanted to go down and fight the winner of Ortiz and Berto.

I think on paper you gotta go with Lara. It seems the things that Lara would do would take Canelo's effectiveness away.

Wouldn't be TOO different than the Trout/Canelo fight, but I think Lara would be smarter in the ring, and punch a bit harder than Trout, which is the difference maker for me.

From what I've seen from Lara, though, he might want to step his workrate up in this particular fight. I

Lara by a 7-5 type decision.

There you go that's much better. And Idk who everyone is that you're referring to cause it definitely ain't me.

Judges had it a draw but if you thought that fight was a draw you probably think Bradley beat Pacquiao too.

no i have never and will never say that bradley beat pacquiao, not in a million years. but lara-vanes being a draw i have no issue with. i would have no issue if vanes won, i would have no issue if lara won. that fight jus didnt do it for me. personal opinion. jus like my canelo over lara opinion. not like i would be shocked if lara beat canelo, but as of now i go with canelo
