To be fair, Provodnikov should of won by TKO in round 1 against Tim Bradley, via Zab Judah rule. Clear knockdown, and Timmy got up and fell back down. Ref blew that. Not Provs fault.


And as for this, I'm not sure why you are all complaining. At least Ruslan is a fresh face. How much more of a chance do you guys really think Ortiz, shot Cotto and Gierrero had?? Cotto has millions of fans and brings In tons of money.....but how is that relevant In judging him as a fighter and his chances against Floyd in comparison to Ruslan? And Ortiz and the ghost Didnt even have fans, so even if the whole "needs a huge fan base" thing mattered, it didnr hold true for 2 of Floyd's last 3 fights.

At least Provodnikov has dangerous power and a punchers chance, unlike all 3 of those fights/last 3 Floyd's opponent. And for everyone saying Floyd will just outbox him, that may be so.... I actually like the Provodnikov fight. It isn't a great fight in terms of historical reference(just the way Floyd likes it), but it's a good action fight. Ruslan is gonna come forward all night and he's a dangerous puncher. I would pay for it.

Much better opponent than Guerrero though that's for sure.
