I doubt this happens as this guy is virtually unknown & HBO would need a strong semi to let this go on, & it won't happen in Canada...

He has to take the mandatory route, as unfortunate as it is...no ones calling Kovalev out anytime soon unless he has a title.

I've said it 100000 times before and ill say it again. Sergey Kovalev is the best fighter at 175, period (IMO) say what you want about experience, résumé...whatever, I don't care. He would and will beat absolutely anyone in the LHW division. Just wait and see, he's gonna clean this division out. P4P the most dangerous fighter in the sport right now. (Not talking to you specifically just saying)

With that being said, if Shumenov actually does take this fight, you couldn't have asked for a better opponent/fight on short notice. I hope this happens.

Since when is Shumenov with 50 cent? I wasn't aware of that

Shumenov is the WBA titlist at 175...... He is the best possible opponent to take this fight on short notice. What better fight could they possibly make?

There is absolutely no way HBO doesn't approve this fight, i would be shocked if they didnt, actually.

What "known" fighters are out there who aren't busy with another fight who would be Able to take this fight?

It's actually a very credible backup fight...just a shame that Shumenov is unknown
