    If......

This is a BIG "if" so don' start flaming me....

    Ok, here goes...

IF Thomas Hearns, comes back(which he did so far) and fights and beats everyone, then gets a shot against Tarver.....

He will obviously come in as a BIG underdog...

but what if he beats "The Magic Man"....?

    Where would you rank him?

hah...i'd love it because hearns used to be a beast and i dont like tarver, but it'd never happen.

if it did? he MAY slide up a slot in the all-time rankings. he'd have to get an underseved shot at the title though and hed have to land 2 or 3 really lucky right hands on tarver or something...

no damn way that old man could fight a bunch of contenders heh

Tarvers so underrated. I think it's about his style. He's so methodical and slow and isn't active enough so no one ever gives him credit.

He'd be ranked pound for pound #6 of all time.
          I'm dead serious.
          No lie.

Hearns is one of my favorite boxers ever, but I can not see him making any noise with this comeback. Since Foreman, most old boxers feel that they can revive the glory of the past, but Foreman was almost an actor with a Hollywwod script. It could not have been any better. With or without script, Hearns is one of the best ever.

                  I mean...

Lets say all of us Hearns doubted he would win, but he pulled it off! The same way Douglas shocked the world.....

I'm not saying Hearns will win, but this is boxing...

When I met Hearns, it seemed like he was drunk out of his mind, but he wasn't....

He just needs to stay out of the ring. But to respond to this thread, if he did (which he wont) climb the rankings and fought tarver, he would loose. Not because tarver is good, but because tarver is young, Hearns is old, slow, and probably cannot hurt a tarver. I just hope he does not make a mistake and end up making a comeback into a trajedy.
