Comments Thread For: Hopkins Shocked: Pacquiao is Brave To Take Rios Fight

IBF light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins was shocked when BoxingScene.com informed him that eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao (54-5-2, 38KOs) would return to the ring against Brandon Rios (31-1-1, 23KOs).

A deal for Pacquiao-Rios was announced on Monday. The fight takes place on November 23rd at the Venetian in Macau, China. HBO Pay-Per-View will carry the event.

Hopkins believes Pacquiao is a finished product and will never be the same after suffering a brutal knockout in the sixth round of his fourth fight with Juan Manuel Marquez last December. [Click Here To Read More]

Hes only wrong because he thinks Manny has nothing left. Manny might not be a P4P type fighter anymore but hes still good enough to beat 85% of the fighters out there.

Huh? No sorry brave would have been fighting the WINNER of that fight. The guy who's long, rangy, can box and **** and drop that monster right too. Rios has power no doubt, but he pressures u in straight lines and is a sitting duck for Manny. This is gonna be like the Pacquiao vs Diaz fight, he needs a confidence boost and Rios is there to give it to him

Remember when everyone thought Roy Jones would beat Glen Johnson.

It would be interesting if history repeated itself. Unlikely though ... right?

difference is glen johnson had some sort of skills. whether or not the skills are at the bare minimum, there was some form of skill there. cant say the same for rios, can we?
