    Why do people keep bringing up Holyfield and Mercer when Hearns started his career in the 70's...?

          I'd say the best one that's still fighting is Barrera. Pretty sure he turned pro at 15 or some **** like that.

            Hearns, although he took a 5 year layoff. Boxers who have been a long time with no layoffs are Chávez and my avatar guy.

              not even close...overall, Hearns fought more years than Chavez...

                Yeah, but I think the threadstarter is asking about consecutive years. If it's amount of fights, then Chávez is the one with the most out of the three.
