Rios is a 140 boxer, who is coming off a loss, he aint even in the top 10, RG was coming off great wins back to back and was naturally a bigger guy, styles make fights, and his style was simply not made to hurt Floyd.

Pac would not be ready for RG at the moment, Rios is a easy win for Pac, should be over in 3 rounds. Rios aint on Pacs level, even though Pac is coming off a loss against a great boxer. Manny will be to strong and experienced to let Rios win.

I was wondering the same thing myself. I never read a word about Pacquiao being offered a fight with Rusian or turning that fight down and I read Boxing Scene top headlines every day without fail.

I like alvarado as a better boxer but Rios is pretty durable so we know we will at least get a 12 round beating. Pac man would stop Alvarado in 5 rounds if rios did it in 7.

OK, first off, it wasn't a 'deadly' knockout. From all accounts, Pac is still functioning without slurring his words and is breathing without aid of a ventilator. Second, and probably most important, it wasn't a 'very close' decision Rios lost to Alvarado... it was nearly a blowout. Rios was little more than a punching bag. Alvarado would've been the better choice, clearly. But, hey, we'll take what we can get. Pacman won't be fighting much longer. Now, if JMM will just grow a set and sign for a 5th fight, all will be well and fine.
