That may be true, but I truly think that he was referring to the way he lost and how it was not competitive. I do wished he would have elaborated more.

I guess u can do that when you've had a long successful career like Marquez. But then you got everyone else running their mouth so they can get a payday.

So does that mean he cherrypicks his fights too? I don't think Floyd ever said that he is not going to fight someone.

Stop the bs, if Jmm thought he had a chance to beat fmj in the ring, he would gladly do it again. Remember he has already fought at welter and Floyd wouldn't come in 2lbs over ww limit. He just knows fmj is a great fighter. He's not gonna let you guys get his ass kicked again. Nothing wrong with him admitting fmj is a superior boxer. Much respect to Jmm

Marquez said that Floyd is on another level and there is no shame in losing to him. I still don't understand why posters say Floyd used his weight advantage on Marquez. Floyd just boxed him. Manny has weighed more than Marquez and yet Manny still couldn't dominate Marquez. I think posters on here need to take heed to Marquez and stop with the excuses. If Marquez felt that the weight was the reason he lost then he would be looking to avenge his loss but he is not. That's the reality of it.

Floyd was what, 2 pounds over? Thats not much of a difference. Fight night, I'll give him about 8 pounds and thats it. I don't think that's enough of a difference between two counter punchers. If Floyd weighed a lot more and was a knockout artist, then that would be a different story. It seems as if Marquez will soon be his manadatory. He hasn't lost and he just beat Pac. I think the winner between him and bradley will be next in line for Floyd.

Marquez is the actual definition of a living legend. He will always be remembered in the annals of history. That being said........Floyd is top 10 ever and JMM makes no qualms about getting it on with him again.

Remember that the fight was contracted at 142 at first, then floyd gets hurt* and then the fight is reworked to a limit of 144 and then we all know what floyd did at the weigh in.
142, 144, 146, 147 doesn't matter Marquez still will lose. Its just a bad match up styles wise. Its nice to see a fighter keeping it real regardless of what people would think. Also Marquez is fighting at 147 outright now so theres no need for a catchweight.

Cant have much confidence after how Manyweather handled him in their first fight. Still a great fighter though, just an awfully bad style for him to face.
