I hear this argument from Floyd fans all the time, everytime I point out that Shane was clearly shot when floyd fought him, and went on an almost 2 year layoff before he fought Floyd,

I always get the same response from every Floyd fan:

"oh you mean the same "shot" mosley that just beat margarito?"

So let's settle this once and for all..

Mosley is clearly not the same fighter, not only his sharpness quickness and fluidity, but just look at his body and his strength.. it's worlds apart.

Shane was coming off a long lay off. There were also rumors that Marg didn't have a great camp and also the fact that Marg was caught using plaster might have fu.cked with Marg's head.

Cherrypicker waited too long to fight Mosley and so he doesn't get full credit for beating Shane.

He been shot since like 07. The Margarito fight is smoke and mirrors and Mosy was about to fight Berto, who was told to step aside fo Fraud to move in. so Mosley went thru to full training camps back to back. So not only was he shot, he was overtrained.

I can't say for sure, but I think he was worse.

No offense but that is pure speculation slanted to your argument. Besides, you dont't know if he came in lighter to gain speed (niether do I)

shane fought no real fights between floyd and margs so he didn't sustain any damage. I'm sure the layoff and the training for Berto did affect him somewhat. he maight have been overtrained to a degree.

But you are totally dismissing the difference in talent and speed from fighting margs to fighting floyd next.

Hard to say, Margarito just wasn't all that great to begin with tbh. To compare Floyd and Marg vs Shane, you have to take into account that Floyd tends to break his opponents down and drop their game plan. Either way a good win, not great at that point in shanes career.
