Comments Thread For: Photos: Huck, Afolabi Face To Face at Heated Presser

There is definitely no love lost. Britainīs Ola Afolabi (19-2-4, 9 KOs) did say he would hug and shake hands with his opponent Marco Huck (35-2-1, 25 KOs) after their WBO Title Fight on June 8 at the Max-Schmeling-Halle in Berlin, Germany - but the attending members of the press were not really convinced after the pairīs previous war of words during Monday's press conference. Photos by Photo Wende.

Before Afolabi started his attempt to calm things down, current WBO Cruiserweight Champion Marco "Captain" Huck and the Interims Titlist were involved in a heated exchange of words. The first one to trade verbal blows was the 28-year-old German.

Can't wait for this trilogy, the first two fights was both real good & there is a lot of bad blood there.

I think it'll be close again.

Afolabi has such a deceiving record 19-2-4 with only 9 K.Os

I felt Afolabi won clearly last time out. If he deserves it this time I hope he gets the decision.

Ola ain't fooling about that's for sure, love a good bit of bad blood!
I feel Ola Afolabi clearly deserved the decision the last time the two fought each other, although the problem I felt for Huck was simply he was allowing Ola to pressurise him with sheer volume of punches and spending to much time going in defensive mode, Huck has the more power and If he wants to win this he shouldn't be scared of throwing down with Ola.

Still saying that I hope Ola whoops him one more time.

Then maybe a world title fight next.

Afolabi clearly lost the first fight and nobody clearly won the 2nd fight. Claiming otherwise is laughable and this coming from someone who hates Huck. Arlsan on the other hand clearly beat Huck and handed him a beating.

I agree with this. I had huck winning the first fight, I don't think there was a robbery. And I think the draw was fair in the second fight.

^^^ I agree about The deception of Afolabis record. He's a top 10 CW, no doubt. I think huck will win this fight by KO. I just can't help but feel Ola will get reckless feeling he needs a KO and get caught and put down.

One thing You can't say about Huck, is that he doesn't fight the divisions best fighters, IMO

I was pulling for him, but I disagree. IMO the draw was fair, surprising he got it. Now he did easily win the first 5 rounds or so, but gassed badly and took by far the worst punishment of his career late in that fight. He usually lollygags for half the fight, then turns it up midfight. Here he figured he'd put some rounds in the bank early, since Huck always starts slow, but overextended early.

Got to say i disagree. This is the first time he's rematched anyone, he refused to give Lebedev one and hasn't made any attempt to ever unify with another Champion. Afolabi and Lebedev are the only quality title fights he has had most of them are utter garbage (Rossi, Garay, Nakash, Minto, Godfrey, Richards) and he lost to Lebedev and Arslan.

I hear you on those fighters. But I was just referring to 2 rematches with Afolabi, a top CW...somryhing he didn't have to do after the first one because I felt he won personally.

He may have very well lost and didn't give a rematch to, but he still fought Lebedev and Cunnigham (I know he wasn't champ) and even Povetkin at HW, so he's fought good fighters. Arslan is a tough SOB as well.

                    Great trilogy fight.

Also hope we eventually see Huck/Povetkin II.
