"Wlad only fought Bums" while "Joe Louis is the GOAT" ???

Then please tell me why Joe Louis fought 9 opponents (!!!) twice in his pro career. Because he did.
Isn't that somehow a sign of how weak a division is when a top guy has to fight the same guys twice over and over again ?
Wlad fought Brewster, Byrd, Tony Thompson and Sam Peter twice, while Joe Louis fought all of these guys twice:
Jersey Joe Walcott, Arturo Godoy, Max Schmeling, Billy Conn, Buddy Baer, Bob Pastor, Lee Ramage, Natie Brown, Abe Simon.

But oh, I forgot, Schmeling is one of the greatest because he beat Joe Louis, right? So there is no shame in fighting him twice, right?
And Corrie Sanders (may he RIP) is called a bum on here even though he beat Wlad. So let's sum it up: Schmeling became a Hall of Famer for beating Louis and Klitschko is called a bum for "losing to a guy like Sanders".
Joe Louis fought so many bums that when he ran out of bums, he fought some bums twice.
But this current era is the worst ever, right?

Wlad was so shook didn't want to rematch him and sent his brother in to fight his battle

Since when is "Sanders Wlad's best opponent"? Last time I read threads here Sanders is a joke and Wlad is a joke for losing to a joke like Sanders.

Is Jimmy Young Ali's best opponent? Cause Young beat Ali even though he didn't get the decision. So can we say "Young is Ali's best opponent and look what happened. Ali didn't even beat Young (in reality)".
Sanders wasn't Wlad's best opponent. Sanders is on the same level as Chagaev, Byrd, Sam Peter and a few others. Really good fighters.

I don't really know how terrible those opponents were tbh. I don't have an opinion on this.

schmeling was the linear heavyweight champ of the world before he fought louis. i don't remember sanders being that. louis and schmeling were #1 and 2 contenders when they fought the first time. louis didn't just lose to some fringe contender like sanders was.

possibly. jimmy young beat ali, foreman, norton, lyle twice, and shavers. obviously he didn't get the decision in some of those fights but he was an all time great and is far ahead of sanders or ross puritty and far ahead of both klitschko's.

Joe Louis fought a lot, lot, lot more often, in a time where you had to fight everyone and often in order to make a living. Of course he was going to fight a bunch of guys multiple times. If Wlad fought every month or two, he'd fight a bunch of guys multiple times too.
